  Had a pile of Sushi here and it was good.
  We got there at 5 pm when they opened so finding slow service would be impossible since we were the only customers. Great place to eat and take a beautiful walk out front

  FISH WAS NOT FRESH - IT WAS RANCID. Came here on 4th of July with my girlfriend because it was close by and the reviews seemed promising. However, there was a sign on the front saying the restaurant was under new management, so I failed to realize that most of the reviews that I had previously read were for the restaurant under the previous management.
  
  The menu is pretty extensive, containing most of your standard Japanese appetizers, sushi and bento combos, and rice bowls. My girlfriend and I ended up getting 4 dishes, believing that each dish would be fresh and delicious. However, after taking a bite of salmon sashimi in our sashimi salad, my girlfriend asked me to taste a piece because she said it tasted "weird". I immediately took a piece of the sashimi and smelled it. IT WAS OFF. The salmon smelled like it was old and extremely fishy - I took a bite of it just to confirm the quality and it indeed had a bad aftertaste to it. This led us to believe that the rest of the fish was old, so we checked the tuna and albacore and they also smelled old. The 2 rolls that we ordered also unfortunately contained salmon, and we had to remove all of the fish off of the rolls just to eat them. We could only eat the rice and imitation crab, and even the rice was seasoned with way too much vinegar. Sadly, Even the vegetable tempura was also NOT FRESH - the vegetables had a bitter taste to all the pieces, as well as being mushy. Oh, and the edamame they give you - extremely SALTY.
  
  Overall, the old rancid food ruined the experience for my girlfriend and I. The smell of the bad fish in all of our dishes made us feel sick afterwards, and both my girlfriend and I had to use the bathroom.
  
  Advice to management: Don't charge people for SPOILED fish and OLD INGREDIENTS!!!

  Average. Roll options are weak sauce.
  
  A lot of the rolls you see pictured aren't on the menu anymore. Sashimi plate was $35 and Chirashi was $20. Opted for rolls instead. Fish was just ok. Upside is they give you a bowl of edamame for free... but fish is pretty low standard and prices are pretty high.
  
  Does the job if you're craving sushi and need a fix but I wouldn't ever recommend. Is this too harsh or am I just #real

  We made a last-minute decision to try Akizu sushi after noticing it in route to another restaurant and I'm so glad we did! When we first arrived around 5:45pm on a Sunday evening, the small restaurant was empty, but, as the evening went on, it filled up quickly! Even so, we never felt neglected by our server, a quiet man who seemed to be serving all of the tables himself.
  
  The large menu offers a wide variety of options from traditional Japanese dishes to local custom sushi rolls. As a vegan, I had no trouble finding many delicious options (a pretty standard thing for Japanese cuisine I will admit). The best part, we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The edamame, miso soup, age dashi tofu, vegetable tempura, and a variety of rolls.
  
  If I had to offer one suggestion to the restaurant, it would be to switch up the veggies in the tempura appetizer - I'm not a fan of zucchini and would much rather see some onions, kabocha, or mushrooms. But overall, the flavors were great, the prices were very reasonable, and we'll certainly be back!

  Big portion but average taste. I had the lunch bento with salmon, sashimi, and tempura. Tempura was not hot and a little stale. Salmon was average, but the sauce was too salty. Sashimi was good, in really big chunks.
